Cold January start to see rape damage

After the wettest autumn and early winter the pigeons are now starting to hit the rape as the cold eather finally arrives.

Mild damp conditions have kept the supply of insects going well into the New Year but soon they will be gone as the first serious frosts kill them off.

Winter rape is now going to become a staple for pigeons forced back into flocks.

150 shots for 60 birds for to Derby lads Josh Beighton and Daniel Stanton on our first time shot over rape this winter and a good bag to start off with.
